Wednesday Christmas Wish List: Grayson Perry 'I am a Man' Charm Necklace

For his current Who Are You? exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery artist Grayson Perry has created a brass sculpture of Alexander White-Huggins, a young transgender man. As Perry explains, Alexander was obsessed by the character Peter Pan as a child  and so Perry depicted Alexander "echoing the statue of Peter Pan in Hyde park but in the style of some of my favourite sculptures, the Benin bronzes of West Africa."

I am a Man, Grayson Perry, 2014

Kit Grover worked with Grayson Perry to produce a charm necklace consisting of "miniature versions of the three-dimensional symbols of cliched masculinity draped about the figure".
The necklace is on sale in the National Portrait Gallery gift shop and can also bought at their online store: http://www.npg.org.uk/shop/shop-list.php?showProductDetails=7519 .
